Dr. Gelfand is the author of over 330 scientific publications cited over 40,000 times (H index 100). His research program was the first to establish that psoriasis patients have an increased risk of cardiovascular disease and mortality.

David J. Margolis, MD, Ph.D

Gerald R. Lazarus Professor of Dermatology and Epidemiology

Dr. Margolis’s research work is focused on dermato-epidemiology and, more specifically, the epidemiology and treatment of chronic wounds, atopic dermatitis, and acne. Dermatologic illnesses are highly prevalent and tend to be chronic.
