Keynote Talk: “Improving the FDA Label Through Real World Data and Public Advocacy”
At the time of drug approval the label may have safety warnings based on a variety of sources of data ranging from animal model data to mechanistic concerns, as well as signals that may occur in clinical development. Safety warnings, if not valid, may harm patient care and increase health care costs. In this lecture, Professor Hennessy will provide an example of removing a safety warning from a commonly used medication based on real world data and public advocacy.
