The standard 2-3 week lead time necessary for fibroblasts and melanocytes will be at least three weeks during this time.\u00a0 A reminder that cell requests are filled in the order received. Submitting requests earlier in the week for the delivery the following Tuesday is encouraged as we may not have enough cells to fulfill requests that are submitted later in the week. We appreciate your cooperation and patience. Thank you!<\/span><\/h6>\r\n<p>The goals of the Skin Translational Research Core (STaR) are to facilitate basic and translational research in skin biology through provision of human skin samples and products.\u00a0 This includes discarded, deidentified normal and diseased skin, primary human skin cells, engineered organotypic skin culture support, and xenograft studies in mice. The core provides the IRB approvals for the procurement of these tissues.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><strong>Important Note: <\/strong>Specialized patient consent processes are necessary for studies that fall under the <a title=\"https:\/\/osp.od.nih.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/Supplemental_Info_GDS_Policy.pdf\" href=\"https:\/\/osp.od.nih.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/Supplemental_Info_GDS_Policy.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Genomic Data Sharing (GDS) Policy<\/a>, this includes <strong><em>all <\/em><i>single cell analysis<\/i>.<\/strong> If the GDS policy applies to your work, contact the the SBDRC at <a href=\"mailto:SBDRRC@pennmedicine.upenn.edu\">SBDRRC@pennmedicine.upenn.edu<\/a>\u00a0before the start of your study to ensure that you are using properly consented tissues.
