Fellowships in Skin of Color – Information<\/span><\/h1>\n
Annually, Penn Dermatology sponsors two Pre-residency Fellowships in Skin of Color (medical students) and one Postdoctoral Fellowship for Skin of Color Research (MD, PhDs, or equivalent).<\/span><\/h5>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n<\/div><\/div><\/main><\/div><\/div>

Pre-Residency Fellowships in Skin of Color<\/span><\/h1>\n

Directed by Dr. Susan Taylor, the Research Fellowship in Skin of Color is designed for a rising fourth year medical student from an accredited United States medical school who is interested in the subspecialty of skin of color. The fellowship is designed to promote an interest in the specialty of dermatology, allow the fellow to develop as a physician scientist and provide mentorship.<\/p>\n

The fellow will obtain an in-depth experience in patient oriented clinical research and develop skills necessary to effectively execute a clinical trial, such as creating IRB and informed consent documents, and participate in a variety of investigator-initiated research. The Fellowship is accompanied by a stipend of approximately $35,000 and funding for travel to conferences if you are presenting an abstract or paper.<\/p>\n
