His group studies how injured tissues heal, and in some cases, how injured tissues regenerate without a scar. As a junior faculty member, Dr. Leung is committed to training the next generation of researchers. The Leung lab provides training in the following broad areas, including transcription specificity, gene regulation, genomics, mouse genetics, developmental biology, human organoid culture, human genetics, and epigenetics. In addition, Dr. Leung co-directs the monthly Stem Cell Club. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n<section class=\"av_textblock_section \"  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock  '   itemprop=\"text\" ><p><b>Training Information:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span data-sheets-value=\"{\" data-sheets-userformat=\"{\">In the few short years since its start, the NIH R01- and VA-Merit funded Leung Lab has been home to multiple undergraduate, medical, and PhD graduate students.
