She completed translational research in the laboratories of Drs. Carter van Waes and Clint Allen studying the combination of immune checkpoint blockade and cell cycle modulators in treatment of head and neck squamous cell carcinomas (HNSCCs). Lillian started the MD\/PhD program at the University of Pennsylvania in 2019 and joined the laboratories of Dr. Taku Kambayashi and Dr. Yasmine Belkaid to pursue her thesis work. Her thesis project is focused on understanding the non-genetic inheritance of a sebum defect in mice either lacking T cells (TCRbKO) or raised in a germ free environment. Her work implicates a role for T cells in epigenetic inheritance and fundamental gamete biology.
