Patients experiencing problems with skin, hair, nail or oral conditions can obtain a second opinion or the latest treatment options at Penn Dermatology. Penn’s skin pathologists or dermatopathologists, offer extensive expertise in diagnosing common, unknown, rare, complex and chronic dermatologic diseases. Penn Dermatology is one of the few dermatology departments in the United States with dedicated dermatologic research laboratories and facilities.
Patients do not directly schedule appointments with skin or oral pathologists; however, all patients are welcome to share Penn Dermatology’s special website, the Penn Cutaneous Pathology Services, with their dermatologist or health provider which gives special instructions on obtaining diagnostic studies at Penn. This service provides referring physicians from Penn and other healthcare facilities with fast and reliable results and the highest quality service.
