Taku Kambayashi, MD, PhD
Associate Professor
Department of Pathology & Lab Medicine
Perelman School of Medicine
About the Lab:
The Kambayashi lab focuses on signal transduction pathways employed by cells involved in fundamental immunological processes and in immune-related disorders. The primary aim is to understand the mechanistic underpinnings of these processes so that novel targets can be identified for therapeutic intervention or for diagnostic/prognostic value. Dr. Kambayashi recently joined the skin biology with his work on iImmune-mediated control of sebum secretion by the skin.
Training Information:
To date Dr. Kamabayshi has trained seven postdoctoral fellows and tweelve PhD graduated students. Dr. Kambayashi’s trainees have gone on to impressive career in both academia and industry.
