About the Lab:
Dr. Lautenbach is Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases and also serves as the Associate Director of the Clinical Epidemiology Unit in the Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics with oversight of all graduate training programs in epidemiology. Research of the Lautenbach lab focuses on the epidemiology, treatment, and prevention of healthcare associated infections (HAIs), particularly those due to antibiotic-resistant pathogens. In particular, his research has focused on appropriate use of antibiotics for treatment of HAIs. Dr. Lautenbach has received numerous state and federal grants to support his research including R01s from NIH, AHRQ, and CDC.
Training Information:
Dr. Lautenbach was the recipient of a K24 award from NIAID to build on his research in antimicrobial resistance and provide support for additional time in mentoring trainees and junior faculty pursuing careers in clinical investigation.
