About the Lab:

Dr. Li is the Director of the Center for Statistics in Big Data at the University of Pennsylvania PSOM. His lab conducts both methodological and collaborative research in the area of statistical genetics, genomics and metagenomics. His research is currently funded by a NIH R01 method grant, focusing on development of novel statistical methods for analysis of microbiome and metagenomics. Dr. Li has collaborated extensively with investigators at Penn PSOM on various research projects, including genomewide association studies of neuroblastoma, obesity and asthma, diet and gut microbiomes, genetic and genomics studies of heart failure, microbiome and human diseases. Dr. Li was the PI of a T32 training grant on training statistical geneticists in ophthalmology genetics.

Training Information:

Dr. Li has trained 17 PhD students and over 20 postdoctoral fellows who have been highly productive and successful.
