Yana Kamberov, PhD
Assistant Professor
Department of Genetics
Perelman School of Medicine
About the Lab:
Dr. Kamberov’s scientific expertise is in developmental biology, mouse quantitative genetics, molecular biology, human evolutionary genomics, and skin and ectodermal appendage biology. Research in her laboratory is focused on expanding our understanding of the genetic networks controlling skin appendage specification and patterning during development and evolution and applying these findings to appendage regeneration, particularly sweat glands. Dr. Kamberov has a secondary appointment in the Department of Dermatology
Training Information:
Dr. Kamberov currently trains multiple postdoctoral fellows and is accepting PhD students.
