Biography:

Corbett received his BSE from Case Western Reserve University, and completed his MD and PhD degrees at Drexel University’s MD/PhD program. He completed his dissertation in the laboratories of Bruce Freedman (Penn School of Veterinary Medicine) and Uri Hershberg (Drexel School of Biomedical Engineering) focusing on defining novel mechanisms by which antigen-induced calcium signals regulate lymphocyte transcription and differentiation.

Corbett completed his preliminary internal medicine year at Lankenau Medical Center, and then began his dermatology residency training at Penn in 2021. His clinical interests include autoimmune and inflammatory skin disease. In 2022, he joined Christoph Ellebrecht’s lab as a post-doc. He is currently investigating novel mechanisms of promoting in vivo persistence of engineered T cells by studying asymmetric T cell division and memory T cell differentiation.
