About the Lab:
Research in the Katona lab is focused on gastrointestinal cancer and hereditary gastrointestinal cancer predisposition syndromes. Their research utilizes a combination of basic science, translation studies, and clinical studies, in addition to extensive collaboration, to pursue multiple lines of active investigation. Ongoing research projects include studies on colorectal cancer, Lynch syndrome, colonic polyposis, gastric cancer and pancreatic cancer.
Training Information:
Dr. Katona is committed to pre-doctoral and post-doctoral training and has trained/is currently training 5 graduate students and 9 post-doctoral fellows (including 8 post-doctoral clinical residents/fellows and 1 post-doctoral PhD fellow).
