About the Lab:

Dr. Mowery has extensive experience in clinical data science, applied informatics, machine learning, and natural language processing. She focuses on deep phenotyping and predictive modeling for clinical and translational research studies conducted to understand disease burden, assess treatment efficacy, facilitate clinical decision making, and optimize clinical outcomes among patients.

Training Information:

Since joining Penn in 2018, Dr. Mowery has formally and informally mentored 5 undergraduates, 2
master graduates, 2 predoctoral rotation students, 5 predoctoral dissertation students, 3 medical students, 9 postdoctoral fellows, 2 assistant professors, and 1 associate professor. She has mentored 3 graduate students and 1 medical fellow in dermatology informatics with 2 manuscripts
in progress. Through her mentorship, postdoctoral fellows and predoctoral trainees were awarded training grants through the National Institute for Mental Health K grant, National Institute for Nursing Research F grant, Veteran Affairs career development award (transferred to Yale for
faculty position), and National Institute of Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.
