About the Lab:
Dr. Anguera’s lab investigates X-chromosome inactivation, and the contribution of this epigenetic process in female-biased autoimmunity underlying diseases. Her research encompasses the maintenance of X-chromosome inactivation in both the immune system and stem cells, and seeks to identify therapeutic opportunities for correcting X-linked dosage imbalances in autoimmune disorders. Her recent work on lupus has brought Dr. Anguera into the skin research community at Penn.
Training Information:
Dr. Nikhil Jiwrajka, a current postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Anguera’s lab, was a Penn SBDRC P&F minigrant recipient in 2022.
