Appointment:
T32 Postdoctoral Fellow: July 1, 2023 – Present
Mentor: George Cotsarelis, MD
Project:
Sustained baricitinib delivery from injectable hydrogels
Biography:
Leo received his BA in biochemistry and mathematics and MS in chemistry at the University of Pennsylvania. He then graduated from the MD-PhD program at the University of Pennsylvania with his PhD in polymeric chemistry and biomaterials. He specifically studied the use of dynamic chemistries in drug delivery and tissue engineering from polymeric hydrogels. His research interests are at the interface of bioengineering and dermatology and he currently is investigating novel drug delivery platforms in the skin and approaches to regenerate hair follicles.
